Two class podiums, valuable experience gained and performances on the rise: the Scledense team signs off from a positive weekend in Trentino, balancing solid confirmations with young talents making their mark.
MS Munaretto concludes the 45th Rally San Martino di Castrozza – part of the 2025 International Rally Cup – with an overwhelmingly positive result. Six crews lined up at the start and two class podiums were secured on a demanding yet captivating course, where the ever-changing conditions tested even the most seasoned crews.
It was a weekend marked by consistency, notable progress, and a standout performance from Estonia’s rising star, Jaspar Vaher.
Bianco and Sambugaro
Among the weekend’s standouts was Efrem Bianco, making his season debut and showing a solid, intelligent progression. Together with Dino Lamonato aboard the Skoda Fabia RS Rally2, he delivered a steady performance, culminating in a clear improvement over the final stages. Narrowly missing out on a top ten finish, Bianco proved he quickly found the right feeling with both car and surface.
Equally commendable was the showing from Michele Sambugaro and Mauro Cumerlato, also in a Skoda Fabia. The pair tackled the rally with poise and a strategic approach. After a cautious opening phase, they picked up the pace in the second half of the event, breaking into the overall top ten with an assertive drive on “Gobbera 2”.
Zanotto and the Nodaris
Williams Zanotto and Paolo Cargnelutti opted for a measured debut with the Skoda Fabia Rally2 EVO, delivering a faultless drive that focused on building familiarity with the car and the technical Dolomite stages. A wise approach that laid the foundation for rhythm and confidence ahead of future outings.
The same methodical mindset guided father-son duo Paolo and Giulio Nodari, also in a Skoda Fabia EVO. Their goal was clear: collect valuable mileage and data. They completed each stage with regularity and precision, hitting their objective of gathering insights crucial for fine-tuning their next performances.
Dal Ben and Vaher: Podiums Worth Applauding
Massimo Dal Ben and Chiara Corso delivered a fiery performance in the Renault Clio S1600, clocking no fewer than five class stage wins starting from SS3. A puncture set them back, yet they still powered through to clinch a third-place class finish – a result that confirms their status as front-runners in the category.
But the real twist at San Martino came courtesy of Jaspar Vaher. The young Estonian talent, co-driven by Rait Jansen, took complete control in both Rally4 class and the Under 25 category behind the wheel of a Lancia Ypsilon. From the very first stage, he showcased his prowess with a relentless string of scratch times. His commanding, unwavering performance secured him a dominant class victory and an unforgettable weekend in the mountains.
