New Faces, Triumphant Comebacks, and Rising Stars: A Power-Packed Line-Up for the Trentino Asphalt
After their recent international exploits, MS Munaretto is back on Italian tarmac, ready to take on the 45th edition of the Rally San Martino di Castrozza. The prestigious round of the International Rally Cup is set to unfold on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 June, against the stunning backdrop of the Trentino Dolomites. A demanding route awaits, with 94.35 competitive kilometres and 241.51 kilometres of liaison putting both crews and machines to the test.
The Scledense team arrives with a strong and diverse line-up of six crews, blending seasoned returnees, debut appearances, and young international talents—all united under the Munaretto banner.
Making his season debut is veteran gentleman driver Efrem Bianco, who returns to action alongside Dino Lamonato. The pair will tackle the rally in car number 22, a Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 bearing the unmistakable Munaretto livery.
Lining up behind them with number 23 are Michele Sambugaro and Mauro Cumerlato, keen to build on their impressive fourth-place finish at Rally Paganella. Once again behind the wheel of their Skoda Fabia RS Rally2, the duo will be chasing a spot on the podium on the tricky Dolomite roads.
Williams Zanotto also marks his first outing of the season, sharing driving duties in the number 27 Skoda Fabia EVO with Paolo Cargnellutti. A promising pairing eager to make an immediate impact from the opening stages.
Joining the fray in an identical Skoda Fabia EVO is the Nodari duo: Paolo and co-driver Giulio. Fresh off a demanding season in the Italian Rally Trophy, they’re back with number 30 on their windows and renewed determination.
All eyes will also be on the return of Massimo Dal Ben. The driver from Vicenza is back behind the wheel of his trusted Clio S1600 following a class win at Rally del Taro. With Chiara Corso once again on the notes, the number 42 crew will be aiming to replicate their previous success.
Rounding out the squad is a strong international presence: Jaspar Vaher, the promising young Estonian, continues his Italian campaign in a Lancia Ypsilon Rally4 alongside Rait Jansen. After a solid podium finish at the Rally del Taro and a tough outing on Elba, they’re looking to regain ground in the championship, this time with number 70 on their doors.
The official start will be preceded by the shakedown in the Camoi area, giving crews a final opportunity to fine-tune their setups. The action kicks off at 20:00 on Friday evening with the “Smart Cittadina” super special stage. Saturday promises the real challenge: six special stages, each to be run twice, for a total of seven competitive segments. The rally finale is set for 18:40, with the finish ramp placed in front of the iconic Sass Maor, bringing the curtain down on a thrilling weekend of motorsport.
