The Schio-based team launches its new campaign abroad, fielding Avbelj, Novak and Toffano for a compact, all-gravel weekend that promises pace and precision.
The 2026 season of MS Munaretto officially gets underway in Slovenia, marking an opening round that underlines continuity, ambition and technical consistency. The Veneto-based outfit lines up with three crews and as many Škoda Fabia RS Rally2, aiming to set a strong early benchmark.
Leading the charge will be car no. 1, with Boštjan Avbelj and Damijan Andrejka expected to play a front-running role on roads they know well, where rhythm and accuracy will be decisive. Alongside them, car no. 3 will see Aljoša Novak partnered by Dora Ravenščak, also in a Škoda Fabia RS Rally2, ready to make the most of every competitive kilometre on loose surface. Completing the line-up is car no. 4, entrusted to Giovanni Toffano and Matteo Gambasin, facing an important early-season test as they look to build confidence and momentum.
The rally unfolds entirely on gravel, with a short yet demanding format: four special stages covering a total of 42.84 kilometres, which also represents the overall distance of the itinerary. With no room for complacency, the event places a premium on clean driving and sustained pace from the very first split.
Action begins on Friday 16 January 2026 with administrative checks and scrutineering in Anhovo, followed on Saturday 17 January by the shakedown session and the ceremonial start in the late afternoon. The decisive day will be Sunday 18 January, with the Rally Show opening early in the morning and the finish scheduled for 15:00.
For MS Munaretto, this Slovenian outing represents more than just a season opener: it is a clear statement of intent. A competitive technical package, a balanced trio of crews and a challenging gravel test provide the ideal setting to lay solid foundations for the 2026 campaign.
