MS MUNARETTO SHINES IN SLOVENIA: DOUBLE PODIUM TO OPEN THE 2026 SEASON

An outstanding start for the Schio-based team, with Avbelj/Andrejka taking a commanding win, Toffano/Gambasin securing a solid third place and Novak/Ravenščak consistently among the frontrunners despite a demanding rally.

The 2026 season could not have begun in a stronger fashion for MS Munaretto, which emerged as one of the main protagonists of the opening round in Slovenia, placing two crews on the podium and keeping a third firmly in the leading group throughout the event.

At the top of the classification, Boštjan Avbelj and Damijan Andrejka delivered a truly authoritative performance to claim overall victory. The pair took control of the rally with confidence and precision, sealing the result thanks to three consecutive fastest stage times that allowed them to build a decisive advantage and manage the final phases with composure.

A well-deserved third place overall went to Giovanni Toffano and Matteo Gambasin, who produced a highly intelligent and disciplined drive. Consistent and effective across all stages, they demonstrated excellent pace and race management, holding their ground in the key moments of the rally and converting a strong performance into a valuable podium finish.

Just outside the podium, Aljoša Novak and Dora Ravenščak concluded the event in fourth position overall. Their rally featured ups and downs, but the Croatian crew remained consistently within the leading positions, never losing touch with the front of the field and showing resilience and competitiveness throughout the weekend.

Weather conditions added an extra challenge, with variable grip on the Slovenian gravel making car setup and tyre choice particularly demanding. Once again, the Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 cars prepared by MS Munaretto proved both reliable and competitive, allowing the crews to push with confidence despite the tricky conditions.

This opening result underlines the strength of the team’s preparation and the quality of its line-up. MS Munaretto leaves Slovenia with a clear statement of intent, laying solid foundations for the rest of the 2026 rally season.
