MS Munaretto deeply regrets the tragic passing of Matteo Doretto, which occurred this morning during a pre-event testing session ahead of the Rally Poland, a round of the FIA European Rally Championship.
In this moment of mourning, the team extends its heartfelt condolences to the Doretto family and to all those who knew Matteo and shared his personal and sporting journey.
Following the accident, the team and all of its drivers had initially decided to suspend all sporting activities and withdraw from the competition. However, at the express request of Matteo’s parents, Michele and Barbara Doretto, it has been decided to honor Matteo’s memory by continuing with their sporting commitment, in respect of his passion and dedication to motorsport.
Therefore, MS Munaretto will be participating as scheduled in the Rally Poland. Every crew member will take to the special stages carrying a thought, a memory in honor of Matteo.
