MS MUNARETTO HONORS MATTEO DORETTO AND RETURNS TO THE STAGES FROM THREE FRONTS: ERC POLAND, LANTERNA, AND REGGELLO

The team from Schio returns to competition with heavy hearts and eyes set firmly on the road ahead. In Poland, a united paddock pays tribute to Matteo, while Araldo and Bizzarri seek redemption and confirmation on Italian rally stages this weekend.

It’s a weekend loaded with meaning and adrenaline for MS Munaretto, who will field five crews across three different rally events: ERC Rally Poland, Rally della Lanterna, and Rally di Reggello. This return to racing comes shadowed by the profound sorrow of Matteo Doretto’s passing.

In tribute, a dedicated space has been set up inside the team’s hospitality area for those who wish to leave a final message or simply reflect.

Rally Poland (ERC)
Mille Johansson – Johan Grönvall, Jaspar Vaher – Sander Pruul, and Tuukka Kauppinen – Veli-Pekka Karttunen will represent MS Munaretto at the 81st Rally Poland – Orlen Oil, a key round of the European Rally Championship.

Behind the wheel of the #7 Škoda Fabia RS Rally2, Mille Johansson and Johan Grönvall arrive in the Masurian Lakes aiming to improve on their solid 6th-place overall finish in Sweden, looking to further solidify their standing in the championship with another strong result.

In Rally4 class, Jaspar Vaher reunites with his trusted co-driver Sander Pruul in the #47 Lancia Ypsilon. After clinching 2nd in class at the Rally del Taro and delivering an impressive performance in Hungary, the young Estonian is now looking to confirm his status among the class frontrunners. Poland’s fast, flowing stages could perfectly suit his sensitive driving style.

For Kauppinen and Karttunen, MS Munaretto’s third entry in the rally, the key word is redemption. After a streak of bad luck in recent continental rounds, the Finnish duo – also aboard a Lancia Ypsilon Rally4, car #57 – is focused on a clean race to regain rhythm and confidence.

Rally Poland will cover 14 special stages for a total of 190.40 competitive kilometers, with rally HQ based in Mikołajki. Most of the stages have been refreshed from the 2024 edition and promise high-speed action, with average speeds often exceeding 120 km/h. The legendary Rosochackie jump returns, while the brand-new Mikołajki 1/2 stage makes its debut on Sunday.

Rally della Lanterna (TIR)
Fresh off a podium at the Rally delle Palme, Jacopo Araldo returns to the stages with renewed energy at Rally della Lanterna, this time with Daniele Araspi calling the notes. Behind the wheel of his familiar Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 – sporting car number 5 – the Piedmontese driver is back for the second round of the Italian Rally Trophy.

The Ligurian event kicks off on Friday, June 13, with the shakedown at 07:50 and the ceremonial start at 14:20 in Piazza della Vittoria. The rally features 7 special stages across 84.57 competitive kilometers – a technical and demanding route, ideal for reaffirming the crew’s competitiveness.

Rally di Reggello (CRZ)
The third rally front for MS Munaretto this weekend is the Rally di Reggello, part of Zone 7 of the Italian Rally Cup. Flying the team’s colors on the Tuscan roads will be Stefano Bizzarri and Luisa Lanera, determined to bounce back after an off-road incident at Rally degli Abeti.

They’ll also be driving a Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 with car number 5. The rally begins Saturday, June 14 at 18:01 with the first stage in Cascia di Reggello, and concludes on Sunday at 17:40 after 8 special stages and 71.62 timed kilometers. A quick start and sharp focus will be key to climbing back into the top spots.

A Weekend in Matteo’s Name
Across every service park – from Mikołajki to Reggello – Matteo Doretto’s name will accompany every gesture, every kilometer raced.

MS Munaretto rallies on, together, for Matteo.
