The Schio-based team heads into the opening round of the Coppa Rally di Zona 4 with a broad and highly competitive line-up. Between Rally2, Rally5 and Rally4, MS Munaretto will have seven cars prepared for the Veronese event.
MS Munaretto will be one of the most heavily represented teams at Rally del Bardolino, the event that opens the CRZ 4 and gets the tarmac season under way with a high-quality entry list. The Schio-based squad will field seven cars in a rally taking place over Friday 13 and Saturday 14 March, with the start in Caprino Veronese, the finish in Bardolino and a total of 65.6 competitive kilometres.
Carrying the number 2 on its side windows will be one of the spearheads of the MS Munaretto line-up, the Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 entrusted to Bostjan Avbelj and Damijan Andrejka, a crew arriving at the start with serious ambitions and all the credentials needed to feature immediately among the front-runners. Also forming part of the Schio-based team’s Rally2 contingent will be Diego Zantedeschi and Stefano Righetti in the Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 number 8, Michele Sambugaro with Ivan Gasparotto in the Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 number 10, and Paolo Boni alongside Roberto Mometti in the Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 number 18, in a package that looks both sizeable and undoubtedly strong.
Further down the order, completing the line-up, will be the Renault Clio Rally5 number 35 of Filippo Sambugaro and Rudy Tessaro, along with the two Lancia Ypsilon Rally4 cars, with number 41 entrusted to Aatu Hakalehto and Niklas Heino and number 42 to Michele Griso and Elia De Guio. For Finnish driver Hakalehto, already seen in the Rally4 scene and entered for Bardolino in a Lancia Ypsilon Rally4, the Veronese event will mark his debut in this rally in MS Munaretto colours, as well as the first step in his introduction to the Schio-based team’s line-up.
Rally del Bardolino will offer a compact yet intense format, with nine special stages and a schedule set to test crews and teams from the outset. In that context, the presence of seven MS Munaretto-prepared cars clearly reflects the weight and depth with which the team approaches the opening event of the Zona 4 season.
