Three crews, rising talents, and a clear goal: to shine in the historic Czech round of the ERC. The Veneto-based team is banking on determination, outright speed, and precise tyre strategy to master one of the most demanding and spectacular events of the season.
A fresh weekend of top-tier rally action awaits MS Munaretto as the team lines up for one of the crown jewels of the FIA European Rally Championship: the Barum Czech Rally Zlín. Steeped in tradition and part of the ERC calendar since its 2013 re-launch, the event is renowned for its technically challenging stages and its unique atmosphere, which draws thousands of passionate spectators each year.
For this edition, the Italian squad will field three competitive crews eager to leave their mark on the notoriously selective Czech asphalt.
Leading the line-up, Sweden’s Mille Johansson will be joined by regular co-driver Johan Grönvall in the Škoda Fabia RS Rally2, car number 5. Fresh from his outing on the Lazio tarmac, Johansson is aiming to replicate his pace on Moravia’s fast yet treacherous roads, with the added challenge of debuting Pirelli tyres for the event.
Estonia’s young prospect Jaspar Vaher will also be in action, coming off a strong second place at Rally di Roma Capitale and a valuable learning experience at Rally del Casentino, where an early setback shaped his result. At the wheel of the number 39 Lancia Ypsilon Rally4, with Sander Pruul in the co-driver’s seat, Vaher will be targeting a result worthy of his recent progress.
Completing the trio is Ireland’s Craig Rahill, co-driven by Conor Smith. After claiming third in the JERC standings at Rally di Roma Capitale, Rahill will make his Czech debut aboard the number 40 Lancia Ypsilon Rally4. Now an established part of the MS Munaretto family, the pair is ready to take on the challenge of the Czech tarmac.
The 2025 edition of Barum Czech Rally Zlín features 207.49 km of competitive distance, entirely on asphalt, divided into 13 special stages. The action begins on Friday 15 August with the Shakedown and Qualifying Stage in Komárov (7.00 km, 08:00), the longest qualifying run of the season so far. Later that evening, the eagerly awaited SSS Zlín (9.57 km) will offer fans three adrenaline-fuelled laps through the heart of the city – a spectacular night-time showcase of rallying passion.
On the tactical front, tyre management will play a decisive role, as the second passes could become particularly tricky due to the slippery and debris-covered surfaces – a signature trait of the Barum Czech Rally Zlín.
