MS MUNARETTO: POSITIVE OUTCOME AT RALLY DI CASSINO FOR THE “FLYING FINNS”

Kauppinen shows steady progress in the Lancia Ypsilon Rally4, securing a top-five finish among the Two-Wheel Drives.
Promising debut for Korhola in the Škoda Fabia: sixth overall and runner-up in the Under 25 standings.

The Rally di Cassino, penultimate round of the CIAR Sparco 2025, concluded with a solid result for MS Munaretto, as the team’s young “Flying Finns” once again showcased their talent on the demanding roads of Lazio.

In a rally defined by variable conditions and an unforgiving pace, Tuukka Kauppinen, co-driven by Veli-Pekka Karttunen, underlined his progress at the wheel of the Lancia Ypsilon Rally4. Despite the ups and downs across the stages, the young Finn secured fifth place in the Two-Wheel Drive class and sixth in the Under 25 category. Stage after stage, Kauppinen is building confidence and consistency with the Scledense-prepared car, continuing to strengthen his learning curve in Italy’s top-level rally championship.

A strong debut performance came from the newest addition to MS Munaretto, Benjamin Korhola, who lined up for the first time in the CIAR Sparco behind the wheel of the Škoda Fabia Rally2 Evo. With fellow Finn Kristian Temonen calling the notes, Korhola delivered an assured drive over the Lazio tarmac, clinching an impressive sixth place overall and finishing second among the Under 25s. For the young driver, this was a highly encouraging first outing on Italian asphalt, laying down a solid foundation for his development.

With both drivers bringing home valuable results, MS Munaretto continues to confirm its role as a launchpad for international young talents, providing them with the opportunity to measure themselves against one of the most competitive rally championships in Europe.

The Rally di Cassino further highlighted the strength of the team’s sporting project: not only strong results, but also a clear and steady growth path for two promising names of Nordic rallying.
