KORHOLA, KAUPPINEN, JOONA AND MOLO READY TO DEFEND MS MUNARETTO’S COLOURS AT THE RALLYE DI SANREMO

Final act of the CIAR Sparco: four crews from the Schio-based team head to the Riviera dei Fiori for a challenge that promises spectacle, precision, and determination at one of the most iconic events on the calendar.

The timeless charm of the Rallye di Sanremo once again brings together the stars of national and international rallying on the Ligurian Riviera. MS Munaretto lines up for the final round of the Campionato Italiano Assoluto Rally Sparco, taking place on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 October, with four high-profile crews, each with different goals but united by the same ambition: to close the season with strong performances and reaffirm the solidity of the Veneto-based team.

Leading the line-up will be Benjamin Korhola, co-driven by Kristian Temonen, who returns to competition full of determination after securing an excellent second overall at the Rally del Vermentino. The Finnish crew, behind the wheel of the Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 #9, is ready to take on the famous Sanremo switchbacks with the goal of further consolidating their progress and strengthening their synergy with both the car and the Schio outfit.

Next up is Tuukka Kauppinen, partnered by Veli-Pekka Karttunen, eager to bounce back after the puncture suffered at the Croatia Rally, which dashed his hopes of glory while running fourth in class. The young Finn will tackle the event in the Lancia Ypsilon Rally4 #23, fitted for the occasion with Michelin tyres, determined to turn Croatian misfortune into motivation and end the year on a high.

Also joining the line-up is Lauri Joona, who will exceptionally compete with number 46, alongside Antti Linnaketo in the Škoda Fabia RS Rally2. Fresh from an impressive performance at the Croatia Rally, where he achieved a brilliant sixth overall, the Finnish driver aims to replicate the consistency shown in the European rounds and confirm his strong feeling on Italian tarmac.

Rounding out the squad is Enrico Molo, driving the second Lancia Ypsilon Rally4 #73 together with Giulio Nodari. The Italian pairing returns to competition with the clear intention of repeating their strong showing at the Rally Città di Schio, targeting another demonstration of precision and composure on a route that is as fascinating as it is demanding.

A total of 86 crews are entered for the CIAR Sparco event, which will officially kick off with the shakedown on Saturday morning from 07:30, followed by the opening four special stages to begin the weekend. The final leg on Sunday will consist of eight timed stages, featuring two passes over four different tests. The finish and prize-giving ceremony will take place in Piazza Colombo at 15:43, concluding a route totalling 118.42 competitive kilometres spread across twelve special stages.
