MS MUNARETTO SET FOR THE 5TH RALLY CITTÀ DI FOLIGNO: SEVEN CREWS FOR THE 2026 CIRT OPENER

The Schio based team kicks off its gravel campaign with a strong and varied line up, blending experience with emerging young talent. Foligno will feature 245 kilometres in total, including 91 kilometres against the clock across nine special stages.

The 2026 Italian Gravel Rally Championship gets underway on 6 and 7 March with the 5th Rally Città di Foligno, once again confirming its status as a benchmark event not only on the national scene but also internationally. MS Munaretto will be out in force, fielding seven crews ready to take on a route that raises the bar, mixing fresh challenges with familiar elements, and a single leg format that demands pace and precision from the very first kilometre.

The weekend begins on Friday 6 March with scrutineering and the 2.08 km qualifying stage at Tenuta San Lorenzo. The times set on this short run will allow the fastest drivers to choose their start position for the following day, a key tactical factor on gravel, where getting caught in the wrong traffic can mean “sweeping” the racing line for those behind and bleeding seconds without making a mistake. The day will then close with the ceremonial start in Foligno’s Piazza della Repubblica, the same historic setting that will also host the finish.

On Saturday 7 March the rally comes alive with nine special stages and 91.11 kilometres timed out of 245 kilometres overall, a significant step up from last year’s 76 kilometres. The final pass of Scopoli will serve as the Power Stage, awarding the first major points of the season and bringing a rally that looks set to be demanding to its conclusion. The final podium is scheduled for 17:01, again in Piazza della Repubblica.

MS Munaretto will tackle this season opener with a competitive and well balanced line up, listed in chronological order by car number. Leading the team will be under 25 pairing Benjamin Korhola and Kristian Temonen in a Fabia RS Rally2, car number 11, followed by Luca Hoelbling and Federico Fiorini carrying number 21 on the side windows. Car number 22 will be driven by Louis Constant with Maxime Martini on the notes, also in a Škoda Fabia Rally2, while the Squarcialupi brothers, Massimo and Giovanni, will run car number 23. Completing the MS Munaretto group, Giovanni Ceccato and Enrico Bracchi will start with number 25 in EVO specification, Simone Romagna and Dino Lamonato will take the flag in a Fabia RS Rally2 with number 28, and Roberto Vellani with Luca Amadori will round out the line up with number 29 in a Škoda Fabia in EVO specification.

Seven crews, nine stages and one day to let the stopwatch do the talking, Foligno offers no time to settle in and demands clarity, strategy and outright speed right away.
