The Finnish crew to line up in a Škoda Fabia RS Rally2: all eyes on the return of Ouninpohja as the Power Stage on the final day.
MS Munaretto is set to return to the spotlight on the legendary gravel roads of Rally Finland, one of the most iconic events in the FIA World Rally Championship. For the 2025 edition, the team from Schio will be fielding the Finnish crew of Lauri Joona and Samu Vaaleri, behind the wheel of the high-performing Škoda Fabia RS Rally2, bearing car number 26.
Secto Rally Finland remains one of the most anticipated and spectacular rounds of the season, with a total route featuring 307.22 km of competitive stages set among the forests and lakes surrounding Jyväskylä, and over 1,000 km of liaison sections. A technically demanding and visually stunning setting that will put both crews and machines to the test.
But all eyes—from fans to insiders—are fixed on the long-awaited return of a true legend: Ouninpohja. After making its comeback in 2024, the signature stage of the “Thousand Lakes” Rally returns to take centre stage once again, with its 23.98 km of pure adrenaline tackled twice on Sunday. The second pass will also serve as the Power Stage, awarding crucial bonus points to the fastest drivers.
With blistering average speeds, razor-sharp lines and an unrelenting pace, the challenge will be fierce for Joona and Vaaleri, who are keen to deliver a strong performance in front of their home crowd.
The rally officially kicks off this evening with a crowd-pleasing super special stage designed to set the tone. On Thursday, action gets properly underway with the morning shakedown and the first timed stage. Friday sees nine special stages across 114.5 competitive kilometres, followed by the most demanding day on Saturday, featuring eight stages and a punishing 142 km against the clock—destined to shape the weekend’s early verdicts. Sunday will host the grand finale, with the Ouninpohja run twice to bring down the curtain on one of the most eagerly awaited editions in recent years.
