Avbelj returns to the top step at Rally del Casentino, while the team signs off a weekend of commitment and growth across multiple fronts. Podium finish in Liguria for Araldo-Boero and a first-place Under 25 result for Vaher.
It was another weekend to remember for MS Munaretto, who climbed once again to the top of the podium thanks to a flawless performance by Bostjan Avbelj at Rally del Casentino. The Slovenian driver, already a winner of the 2022 edition, took control of the event from SS2 onwards, clocking six consecutive fastest stage times and asserting his dominance over the demanding Tuscan roads. At his side, as always, was co-driver Damijan Andrejka, with whom he built a textbook victory without a single slip.
Also shining over the weekend was gentleman driver Massimo Squarcialupi, paired with his brother Giovanni. The duo completed a clean and intelligent rally, with Massimo tackling his very first asphalt outing at the wheel of the Skoda Fabia Evo. The objective: to accumulate mileage and gain confidence in a highly competitive setting — mission accomplished.
It was a different story for Massimo Dal Ben and Chiara Corso, who were forced to retire during SS3. The Renault Clio S1600 will be back soon, determined to bounce back from two bitter DNFs.
An outstanding show of maturity came from the young Estonian Jaspar Vaher, who, together with Rait Jansen, turned an early mistake into a valuable learning experience. A slip-up during the evening stage dropped him to the back of the class standings, but on Saturday, Vaher delivered a remarkable comeback. He missed the podium by a whisker but clinched first place in the Under 25 category — a well-deserved reward for a tenacious charge through the field.
Meanwhile, on the roads of the Rally della Valle Arroscia, more reason to celebrate for the team: the Araldo-Boero pairing secured a fine third overall. The result came after a controlled and consistently improving drive, marked by great synergy between driver and co-driver — and the feeling that there’s still plenty of potential to unlock.
