The Schio-based squad heads to the 44th Rally Due Valli with five Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 cars entrusted to Avbelj, Joona, Korhola, Nucita and Zantedeschi.
In Sicily, at the Rally dei Nebrodi, the spotlight will also be on Marco Pollara and Giuseppe Princiotto, who showed character at the Rally del Taro.
MS Munaretto is preparing for another high-intensity weekend, with the Veneto-based team set to tackle two competitive fronts at the 44th Rally Due Valli and the 26th Rally dei Nebrodi.
In Verona, for the third round of the Campionato Italiano Assoluto Rally Sparco and the Coppa Rally di Zona 4, the team will line up with a first-class entry on an all-asphalt route that promises to be technical, selective and demanding. The 2026 edition of the Due Valli will feature 13 special stages for the CIAR crews, covering a total of 144.16 competitive kilometres, with the finish in Piazza Bra and the return of the “San Peretto” stage, which had been absent from the route for 26 years.
Car number 5 will mark the immediate return to action of Bostjan Avbelj and Damijan Andrejka, at the wheel of a Skoda Fabia RS Rally2. For the Slovenian driver, the event will provide a fresh test just a few days after his outstanding victory at the Rally del Taro in the IRC context.
Number 7 will be carried by Lauri Joona and Antti Linnaketo, also competing in a Skoda Fabia RS Rally2. The Finnish driver arrives in Verona with great enthusiasm, strengthened by the overall runner-up finish claimed at the Rally di Modena, a podium result that has given further momentum to his season.
There will also be room for Benjamin Korhola and Kristian Juhani Temonen, entered with number 8 in a Skoda Fabia RS Rally2. After a hard-fought Royal Rally of Scandinavia, rounded off with the satisfaction of victory in the Power Stage, the Finn returns to Italian asphalt aiming to make increasing use of the experience gained.
Number 12 will belong to Andrea Nucita and Maurizio Messina, also in a Skoda Fabia RS Rally2. The Sicilian driver comes to the Due Valli fresh from victory in the CIAR Promozione category at the Targa Florio, an important result that confirms his experience, speed and ability to read technically demanding events.
Among the Coppa Rally di Zona entries, MS Munaretto will also field Diego Zantedeschi and Stefano Righetti, with number 204, once again in a Skoda Fabia RS Rally2. For Zantedeschi, this marks a significant return after the top-ten finish achieved at the Rally della Paganella last April, with the aim of reappearing in a highly competitive context.
Over the same weekend, the team will also be in action in Sicily, at the 26th Rally dei Nebrodi, a round valid for the Coppa Rally di Zona 9. Organised by CST Sport, the event will take in the roads of Piraino, Raccuja and Sant’Angelo di Brolo, with the addition of Castell’Umberto, which will bring the rally into the town centre itself.
At the start will be Marco Pollara and Giuseppe Princiotto, number 1, in a Skoda Fabia RS Rally2. For Pollara, the Nebrodi represents a new opportunity to build on the pace shown at the Rally del Taro, where he remained firmly among the leading positions before encountering some difficulties in the final part of the event, still managing to react with determination and climb back to the edge of the top ten.
