Outstanding performance from the Veneto-based team in the second round of the IRCup: Avbelj dominates with 7 stage wins out of 8 to claim overall victory. Vaher narrowly misses out on Rally4 glory with a strong second place, while Dal Ben kicks off his season with a clear class win in the Clio S1600.
It was a perfect weekend for MS Munaretto on the roads of Emilia at the Rally Internazionale del Taro, the second round of the 2025 International Rally Cup. A collective effort that yielded excellent results for all three crews fielded by the team.
Standing on the top step of the overall podium was Bostjan Avbelj, co-driven by Elia De Guio, who delivered a masterful drive at the wheel of the Skoda Fabia RS Rally2. The Italo-Slovenian claimed 7 fastest times out of 8 stages, taking the lead from the second test and maintaining a relentless pace that left his rivals trailing. After a tough outing on Elba, Avbelj emphatically put the disappointment behind him and reignited his IRCup title challenge with determination.
There were smiles in the Rally4 camp too, as Jaspar Vaher and Rait Jansen secured a hard-fought second place in class after a steadily improving performance throughout the event. The young Estonian talent set four category-best times, proving especially decisive over the final three stages. His confidence on Italian tarmac is growing stage by stage, helping him move on from the frustrations of Rallye Elba.
Completing a weekend of success were Massimo Dal Ben and Chiara Corso, who celebrated their season debut in style with a class victory at the wheel of the Renault Clio S1600. A solid, error-free performance from the Vicenza-based crew, who made the most of their experience on the Taro’s demanding roads.
Three crews entered, three standout results: MS Munaretto leaves Rally del Taro with a full house and strong momentum heading into the next rounds of the IRCup.
